In Escuintla, Guatemala, where 4 out of every 10 victims of sexual violence are children, Jennifer could have become just another statistic. But at 12, she defended herself against an older man who attempted to rape her. Now 16, Jennifer is on a journey to find her voice and continue her healing, while working to build a community of restoration for other survivors of sexual violence in Guatemala. Her mission is to help other girls and women understand that they are not alone and that they must not stay silent.
